Season 2 Episode 14 : Band Geeks
Squidward gets a call from his high school rival Squilliam. Squilliam says he has a band but they can’t make a date to play at a human halftime show, so Squidward agrees to substitute for him, and so must “drum up” his own band, and fast. He rounds everybody up from Bikini Bottom by posting handbills: “free refreshments”. The band doesn’t do very well, but once Squidward departs in despair after rehearsal, Spongebob convinces everyone to stay and practice some more. Come the big day, at first Squidward believes they’ll fail before thousands of fans (the worst part is that the fans are humans) they don’t even know, and Squilliam will gloat. But it turns into a stellar rock band and performs a song with high caliber, entertaining all the humans and hospitalizing Squilliam with acute embarrassment.
